I love love love my new school! This Smore is something that I shared during a short PD session during yesterday’s faculty meeting to introduce teachers to some great tools for creating digital products. Over the past few weeks, I’ve had conversations with a number of teachers about upcoming projects and I realized this would be a great time to share these resources. I talked about using Smore, PowToon, ThingLink, Piktochart, Buncee, and Canva. I used Smore to create a take-away with embedded tutorial videos for each resource:
What other digital creation tools do your students use and love?
Do you pay for a subscription to Smore? I used it for awhile and loved it, but then either they changed their free offerings or I ran out of free credits (I forget which at the time).
I don’t, but it’s one that I wouldn’t have a problem paying for a subscription because it’s great!

This resonated with me so much right now because I just gave my students a research project and told them they can present their findings any way they choose…except posters! I’m trying to get students to branch out and try something new rather than the same old predictive, boring poster routine. There is so much available to students out there!f I have used PowToon and Canva before, and always love introducing them to my class (I have a handful of students using Canva right now for a project), but I hadn’t heard of Smore, ThingLink, Piktochart, or Buncee before. I spent some time online checking them out and I think they are another great resource for students (and teachers!) to share information.
